Subject: Urgent Re Transfer of US$15.5M
Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2009 10:50:07 +0100
FROM THE DESK OF ALHAJI MOHAMMED BARKINDO
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR (CORPORATE AND
CONTRACT SERVICE)
NIGERIA NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION
(N.N.P.C). V/ISLAND, LAGOS, NIGERIA.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I know this might come to you as a surprise
since you don’t know me and we have never met before, but it was burn out
of my desire of good business of mutual understanding that can go between
us if properly treated with better understanding. I contacted you after due
deligence on your profile and personality.
I am the Group Executive Director (CORPORATE
AND CONTRACT SERVICE) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC). My office is also saddled with the responsibility of screening,
categorization and prioritization of projects embarked upon by NNPC as well
as feasibility studies for selected projects and supervising the projects
consultants involved and awarding Contracts to both Foreign and Local
Contractors.
Presently in Nigeria, four of our Refineries
and one Liquidified Natural Gas Plant have been
bad all these years, and now the Present Elected Democratic Government has
voted the sum of US$1.86 Billion for the repairs and turn around
maintenance. In view of this, we have started awarding new contracts to
that effect.
As an incentive to do a good job and
finished promptly, the Federal Government makes 75% upfront payment to
successful bidders. Looking at what has been happening in Nigeria and other
African Countries due to political distability,
every wise businessman and Government Official is trying to push out any
money he can lay his hands on so that incase anything happens, they will
have something they can fall back on and be rest assured overseas on their
retirement.
Based on this, we wish to transfer the sum
of US$15.5M which have been disbursed from monies
meant to pay contractors that have executed their contract job. I was able
to secure this amount US$15.5M because I used my office to over inflate the
total sum of the contractors money and it was approved by my Government,
but because we are citizen and still working as civil servant, we cannot
move this money out ourselves. I have contact you so that I can present you
as a foreign contractor that executed a contract for my corporation worth
this amount.
At this point in time we therefore need an
honest, trustworthy and reliable assistance from you and will not
disappoint us at the end of this transaction. Note that you have nothing to
worry about, as every registration and documentation will be perfected in
your favor for you to have the legitimate back up as one of the contractors
to NPPC, I can also use my office to present you as the contractors who has
just been awarded this contract to supply, install and service some of the
REFINERIES PLANTS PARTS which documents I already have in my custody.
I would advice that you furnish me with the
below information’s so as to enable me perfect some documentation here in
my corporation in your favor.
YOUR COMPANY NAME AND ADDRESS.
YOUR AGE AND OCCUPATION.
YOUR BANKING DETAILS
YOUR PRIVATE TELEPHONE AND FAX NUMBER FOR
EASY COMMUNICATION.
On the smooth receipt of the above-mentioned
information’s, I shall move ahead with the documentation and inform you on
the next step of action.
Note that this transaction must not be
disclosed to a third party, as such it should be
kept confidential.
Awaiting your urgent response.
Regards,
Alhaji Mohammed Barkindo
